Water Reminder

Water Reminder ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information the app collects, why it is collected, and how it is used.

We do not require an account. We do not sell your data. Most data stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

Data you provide (stored locally on your device only):

• Body weight and physical activity level (used to calculate your daily water goal)
• Daily water intake logs and custom cup sizes
• Reminder times and notification preferences
• Language preference
• Ramadan mode settings (prayer times, fasting schedule)

Data collected automatically:

• Firebase Analytics — anonymous usage events (e.g. "app opened", "goal met"). No personally identifiable information is attached. You can opt out via your device's advertising settings.
• Firebase Crashlytics — crash reports including device model, OS version, and stack traces. No personal data is included.
• Google AdMob — advertising identifiers and general device information to serve relevant ads. See Section 5 for details.

• Calculate and track your personalised daily water goal
• Send water intake reminders at your chosen times
• Display hydration statistics and streak data
• Show advertisements that support the free app
• Diagnose crashes and improve app stability
• Understand which features are used most (anonymous analytics)

All personal data (logs, settings, preferences) is stored exclusively on your device using Android's Room database and DataStore. It is not uploaded to any server we operate.

You can delete all app data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app data in your device's Settings.

The app uses the following third-party services, each with its own privacy policy:

The app does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone, or storage permissions.

We use Google AdMob to display ads. On first launch, users in the EU/EEA and UK are presented with a consent form as required by GDPR. You may withdraw or change your consent at any time via your device's Settings → Privacy → Ads.

We have configured AdMob to declare that this app is not directed at children under the age of 13 (COPPA). If you believe a child has provided information to this app, please contact us.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

• Access the data held about you
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict processing
• Withdraw advertising consent at any time
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

Because all personal data is stored locally on your device, you can exercise most of these rights directly by clearing or uninstalling the app. For advertising data, visit adssettings.google.com.

Water Reminder is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used this app, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by a new "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
