1Overview
✦ This app does not collect, store, or share any personal information. Username generation happens entirely on your device.
Username Generator: Name Ideas ("the App", "we", "us") is an offline-first utility that helps users brainstorm username ideas. This Privacy Policy explains what minimal data interactions occur and how we handle them.
By using the App you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App.
2Data We Collect
We collect only minimal, non-personal, aggregated diagnostic data through the third-party services listed in Section 5:
Anonymous crash logs including device model, OS version, and app version. These help us fix bugs. No personal identifiers are included.
Aggregated, anonymised event counts — e.g. how many times the generator was used — so we understand which features are useful. No personally identifiable information (PII) is collected.
AdMob may collect a device advertising ID and general location (country/region) to serve contextually relevant ads. See Section 5 for details and opt-out options.
3Data We Do NOT Collect
We explicitly do not collect or transmit:
- Your name, email address, or any account credentials
- The keywords or words you type into the generator
- The usernames you generate, save, or copy
- Your precise GPS location
- Your contacts, camera, microphone, or photos
- Any financial or payment information
The App requires no sign-up and has no user accounts.
4Local Storage on Your Device
The following data is stored only on your device using Android's local storage (Room database & DataStore). It never leaves your device through our systems:
- Favourites — usernames you have saved with the heart icon
- Generation history — previous generation sessions
- App settings — language preference, daily generation count
- Onboarding status — whether you have seen the intro screen
You can delete all locally stored data at any time from Settings → Clear History and Settings → Clear Favourites, or by uninstalling the App.
5Third-Party Services
The App integrates the following third-party SDKs. Each has its own privacy policy:
Serves banner, interstitial, and rewarded video ads. AdMob may use a device advertising ID to personalise ads based on your interests.
You can opt out of personalised ads in your device settings:
Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation.

Collects anonymous crash reports to help us improve stability. Data is processed by Google and retained for 90 days.

Collects anonymous, aggregated usage statistics. No PII is included. Data is processed by Google.

We do not sell, rent, or share any data with advertisers or other third parties beyond what these SDKs process automatically.
6Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us (see Section 9) and we will promptly address the matter.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to monitor their children's use of apps and digital services.
7Your Rights
Because we do not collect personal data, there is typically nothing to request access to, correct, or delete on our servers. However, you always have the right to:
- Delete all locally stored data by clearing the App's data or uninstalling it
- Opt out of personalised ads via your device's advertising settings
- Contact us with any privacy-related questions or concerns
If you are located in the EU/EEA, you may also have rights under GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, and portability. Because no personal data is collected by us, these rights primarily apply to the third-party services listed above; please refer to their respective policies.
8Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted at this URL with an updated "Last updated" date at the top of the page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
