US Civics Practice is a study app that helps users prepare for the United States naturalization civics interview. It contains all 100 official USCIS civics questions, flashcard and practice test modes, and progress tracking.

2. Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information. Specifically:

All app data (study progress, starred questions, test history, and your settings for dynamic answers like elected officials) is stored locally on your device only using Android's standard storage mechanisms (Room database and DataStore Preferences). This data is never transmitted anywhere.

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

Consent: On first launch, users in regions subject to GDPR or similar laws will be shown a consent form (powered by Google's User Messaging Platform). You can change your ad consent preferences at any time in Settings → Manage Ad Consent.

Pro users who have purchased "Remove Ads" do not see any advertisements and are not subject to AdMob data collection.

4. In-App Purchases (Google Play Billing)

The app offers a one-time "Remove Ads & Unlock Pro" in-app purchase. All payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play. We do not receive, store, or process any payment information. For details, see the Google Play Terms of Service.

5. Consent Management (Google UMP)

We use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage advertising consent in applicable regions. UMP may store a consent string on your device. This string is used only to communicate your consent choices to advertising partners and is not transmitted to us.

This app is intended for adults preparing for the U.S. naturalization interview. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided information through this app, please contact us at the address below and we will take appropriate action.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

All app data is stored locally on your device. You can delete all app data at any time by going to your device's Settings → Apps → US Civics Practice → Storage → Clear Data. Uninstalling the app also removes all locally stored data.
